Hi fellas, new guy here..

First off, sorry if this post is in the wrong place. I have an old pearl export,I bought it new 13 years ago,I used to think it looked great, but as the years have gone by and after countless gigs and jams it's become scratched and dinked. Also as fashions have changed it also looks dated.

I can't afford to buy a new one so want to remove the old ugly vinyl wrap and sand down the shells, I've always wanted a natural wood finish, I'm playing around with a few Ideas I've also seen replacement badges.

Has anyone tried this on a pearl,I'm aware that once I start to take off the wrap I'm commited.

Does anyone have any do's and dont's? cheers.
