Hi all I just got my Mapex Pro M kit last week. I love this kit only problem is the snare drum. It has too much tone and not enough crack. I have been playing with tuning and it's still not in my taste. I use a 7 x 13 tama snare cheapy and it's more too my sound. How do you guys like the Pro M snare? Does anybody feel the same way with me?

is it the 5.5x14?

i love the sound of mine especially with a white coated single ply head. i find plenty of "crack" with it, but i usually tune my snare fairly high anyway that lends to that sound.

Hi, nick.

I'm with you. I kept tuning mine up and finally found a spot I like. Mine's the Saturn, tho.
