Which do you prefer? Why?

**I was thinking of getting A custom mastersound hi hats, but then
I found a good deal on Z custom mastersound hi hats, so I'm in a bit of a dilemma**

What are your thoughts?

thanks!

Well, what do you play? My experience is only with A Customs and not with Z Customs. A Customs are very versatile and very musical sounding. Z Customs are only designed to be hit hard and have good projection - so they're good for hard rock and metal and that's about it.

z customs are pretty cool, ive used quite a bit, they are heavy/ heavier cymbals but have really good sound for the heavier cymbals because some of those are really dead sounding. A customs are very projectile and loud, and are thinner then the Z's.
Z's are for heavier kinds of music and it doesnt sound too great with any jazz that ive used.
A's can be used for jazz metal rock or whatever you want.
Z's are a more focused cymbal shooting towards one kind of music, and perfected the cymbal to it.
A's are more of a all around balanced cymbal but can be used for alot of music, and sound really good for being able to be used from songo to death metal

I gotta agree with the previous posts. The Custom A's are pretty versatile. But I have no personal experience with the custom z's. I should also add that the Custom A's are perhaps my favorite line of Zildjians so I may be a bit predjudical.

A customs tend to be more musical, but Z customs can be a bit louder and cut through more if that's what you need, but I usually stay clear of them.
