Well if you're in a store and some guy is trying to "just sell you drums" then get out. I've done drums sales and I never steered the customer in the wrong direction. But on a side note, even if the guy is just trying sell you drums, if you don't like them, return them! Nothing will irritate a retail sales person more than getting a neg. But on to answering your question. Stagg percussion if fairly new to the market. Sam Ash carries their stuff but I'm not sure GC does. Their stuff is decent considering the prices that their stuff sales for. I would stick with the major 4 labels: Latin Percussion (LP), Toca, Pearl, Remo. If you shop at Sam Ash, I was impressed with their LP ardiente line. Bongo's go for about $89.99 and their actualy built rather well. If not, the aspire, and matador lines are not bad either. But if you don't like LP, then you can try the Pearl Primero series, or Toca's sig. series. They run about the same price as LP's. Depends on if you're a begginner or not. _________________ Böhse Onkelz!!! |
