I just bought a new MAC Powerbook 17" (and is it sweet) with Garage
Band on it. now there is line in and I have purchase a y adapter that goes from 2 mono 1/4 jacks to 1 stereo 1/8th inch jack. Now garage band splts these up and I can also configure gate.
My main question is:
what are some cheaper mics that I could use to mic my kit. Now I am going to be only using 2 mics so I thought I would put one by my kick drum and then one above my kit. do you think this is the best way?
what mics would you use. |

I would go with 3 mics. I made the mistake of only getting 2 and now ony one half of the kit really sounds good. Also if you are looking for really cheap mics go to musicians friend and pick up some starpower 4s, 9.99 each and they include a XLR to 1/4th cable. _________________ "It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear a fool than instead to open it and remove all doubt"
