Does anyone know where to find vintage style hoops. The type you see on 1920's or so snares, with claw style tension rods? The hoop itself is maybe diecast and has no holes in it for tension rods like the new ones have.
I really like the look of them and would love to add them to a few of my snares but can't seem to find any around here or on ebay.

Those are usually for woodenhoops. You can order the hoops and claws from almost any drumshop

But Im aslo sure you can get metal hoops as well.

LOL, That's the exact snare i have except for the wood hoops. I almost ordered the wood hoops but they were $550 Cdn. I'm looking for vintage style single flanged hoops in chrome. I found a site that has them reasonably priced but they won't ship to Canada!?
THe other place i found that will shiip to Canada's gonna run me about $170US!!
A little too much for me right now.
