Okay, I don't know *Poop* about drum triggers. But, they look pretty cool and I need to find a way to Mic my drums. Do they mic your drums, or what do they do? _________________ "Screw all you little kids who conform to non-conformity! You are all sheep, and I am the dirty farmer!" |

no, they dont actually mic your drums. they respond to the vibration created by your drums, and send an electronic signal to a drum module which produces an electronic sound. its the exact same thing that happens when you play a v-kit, but with the look and feel of real drums. _________________

You can run triggers directly into a pre-amp and use the signals to trigger samples via a computer and a program such as drumagog. Many pro producers are using this technique.
You don't need a brain to process trigger signals if you have a suitable computer setup for recording. |
