Hey guyz, my family is deciding on making a basement, but since their kinda having problems with my new set, since its louder and im getting better, they are thinking about sounproofing large portion of the basement so my and my band can play without bothering to many people. Plus once I score some cash, it would be nice to have a little temporary studio.

For the sound proof room can you suggest any materials that are good. I mean does it work well and tips on how to save money with everything. My uncle is a construction worker so the labour is probably going to cheap.

Also what would you suggest is a good size for a room, without me getting deaf and enough room for the band. In the soundproof room I am likely gonna keep the set there permenantly. So I am going to have to care about my ears, so could you suggest some nice noise cancelling headphones, i like to play to music. I was thinking about Shure Headphones, but they are expensive.

Thanx a Lot, I'll post pics if I can.

it dulls down the drums alot. i must admit, i cant really head the music so well, but it dulls the drums nicely
