|

Hello Everybody,
I'm new to the drum world and recently bought a YOKI DD-502..
Still haven't arrived.
I got a nice deal.. $365 shipped.. The retail price is somewhere around $500.
Well, I'm new to drums and this is very exciting for me.. Hope to learn a lot here..
Befoe buying the YOKI I researched a little, and found out that the YOKI is ver similar to the OSP DD502.. 99% of the reviews are giving the YOKI a better rating.. due to its sound quality and other stuff
Thanks.. just wanted to share my new passion. |

I'm and old dude (started playing in 1962) and would like to get into elctronic drumming. What's a pretty good kit for around $300.00?
PS: Steve Gadd was our high shcool stage band drummer. |

it depends on what kind of quality you really want. every electric drumset that i've looked at for under $800 did not appeal to me. going to all local music stores that have electric sets to try them out would be a good idea. if you find a set that you want at a small business music store, do some research on guitarcenter.com and musiciansfriend.com to make sure that that small business didn't jack up the price too high. _________________ my myspace. i would suggest just getting midi triggers and then using a soft synth on a comp |

Wait until you can spend more money, I have been playing since 1970 and not until the past two years have tried E-drums, after playing several brands there is no comparison to a quality set like ROLAND, worth every dollar, they have a new entry level set hd-1 i think, about 700-800 bucks, but I would save up to get at least a TD-10 with expansion, you won't be sorry. |

| I have been researching E-kits for months now. Because I, like rest of you are on a budget I Just couldn't wait. So I bit. I bid on the kit and I am hoping to get a year out of it. I haven't played for years. This should be a good starter kit...I hope. The Roland series will be next...Saving my pennies. What do you think? Good starter kit? |
