I am looking to buy a new drum kit around the winter holiday seaason, and i would appreciate some suggestions.

Here's what I am looking for:

-Deep Med-Low Pitched Drums
-Under $800
-Sturdy Tom Mounting and Floor tom Legs
-A shell set.
-if at all possible, the ability to buy add-on toms.*

*not necessary unless available.

thank you. Razz

Which PDP drums are those? From the picture, I don't know if it's their birch or maple ones.

If you want a big warm sound, I would go for maple.

Both PDP and Gretsch make some great drums. If you have a guitarcenter, or any other place by you, I would go check them out myself.

Also, dividing this up into a couple of threads doesn't make it very easy to give you advice. You should say what you're looking for, exactly, and what exactly your price range is. Then you can also post up some things you have your eye on and get feedback from people. Posting in one place and going, are these good? And then making another one goign, are these good? Is hurting yourself in the long run.
