Hi, I'm new here but have read the threads for few months now and just registered for adding few comments and sharing experiences with you.

I'm playing drums since my childhood but got my 1st "real" drumkit at 16. I saved a whole year for a Pearl Export in Smokey Chrome finish. Started with a 5pces kit, it grews up to a 9pces kit quickly with lots of plates too. After beating the hell out of it for the last 18 years, I decided in January to give myself a birthday gift for my 34 anniversary. I ordered a brand new 2007 Mapex Orion in new Cinnamon Fade finish. What a kit!!! Even if the color wasn't exactly as expected based on "official" Mapex studio pics, it's a hell of a nice set. The overall quality of manufacturing is flawless. Impecable. I really enjoy it.

I live in Ste.Elisabeth which is 'bout 1 hour north of Montreal (Canada). I'm playing for my own pleasure on 2nd floor but will look for some other musicians to jam and maybe gig in a near future. I also play bass (for my very own pleasure...) while the neighbors are asleep (...).

I'm also member of Mapex's "unofficial" forum (CSM) so maybe some will recognize me from there.
