The hardware that comes with it is mainly Mapex's 500 series hardware but the hi-hat stand is from the 700 series. Every piece of hardware that comes with it is extremely sturdy. I can bang the *Golly Gee* out of the crash and I wouldn't have a bit of worry of the stand going anywhere. The same goes for the tom stand... it's hanging a 14" and a 16" tom and I can stand up and whack them as hard as I can and that thing it's going to tip/move. So, I would consider this hardware gig worthy. _________________ AeonScape MySpace Music

| Cool..!! I'm seriously thinking on buying a Mapex Pro M the next year, or maybe in 2 years, and i'm looking at all possible options. Another option is the Pdp MX, but it costs more than the Pro M, so i don't know.. |

Actualy, i think the Pro-M's might be better drums than the MX anyways, so i would say go with the mapex. Plus, theres no doubt mapex has better hardware (mapex has freakin GREAT rock solid hardware, even on their bottom of the line stuff).
Its up to you, but remember not to leave birch out of the questions! you never know, you might be suprised to find out which wood you like better. _________________

| I think that my last decision will be made according to finishes, because i like maple and birch woods very much, and i find both them very suitable for my playing... If i find a Black Forest Green Mapex M birch, i'll go for it. If i find a Caramel Fade mapex Pro M, i'll buy this. If i find a Pdp MX with natural fade, this would be my option. I seriously think on the drum's looks as an important thing. |

Great looking kits mean nothing if they sound like crap (not saying that either of those sound like crap), but yeah _________________

I know none of them sound like sh|t, and a *Poop* drumkit will never look good, cause those pulse, map, groove percussion, CB drums, name it, are finished with a simple color wrap. |
