| Would the EC2 be a good choice for the toms and snare, and a Emad for the kick drum? I heard it is best to put new heads on these before you even play them. TRUE?? |

| Most companies are putting good quality heads on their higher end kits these days. However, the web site says this kit Remo heads. It doesn't say what kind. Therefore, I'm thinking they are made overseas and probably not as good of quality as a true Remo Ambassador, for example. Maybe someone else can verify what heads this kit comes with. |

The FS comes with the "Made by Remo for DW" heads which really are, as bytor said, the cheap overseas Remos.
As for the question regarding those heads, they should be just fine. They EC2s will give you a very deep sound out of the toms, which may or may not be to your liking. I personally am using Studio-Xs on my FS and they the depth I get from the toms belies their size.
The Emad is just a fine head for the kick. I personally feel the Aquarian SuperKick/Regulator combo just can't be beat, but the Emad is just peachy as well.
As for the snare, I personally don't like 2-ply heads on snares, but that's my opinion. The head itself is high quality so it's a matter of whether you like the sound. _________________ So with that title, do I Godwin every thread now?
