Does anyone have any tips on how to practice playing a double bass drum pedal, but without having to be at the drumkit. There are a few pads i've seen, such as the Gibraltar one, ane the Pearl, but there are too expensive for me. I have a snare-type pad which I use all the time, which shows in my drumming, i've become dependent on using my hands, other than having a balance between hands and feet.
What i'm looking for is the type of thing that is on the Smart Pratice DW pad kit. It has a clip-on rectangular bass drum pad, but you can't buy it on it's own, it attaches onto a regular stand. I've tried to think of a way to mount a normal pad vertically, but it seems hopeless.
So, does any one have any cheap suggestions on how silent double bass drum practice could be done?
Thanks in advance, and sorry for the long post. _________________
