I bought a PDP FXR shell pack and was looking at some hardware packs. Any suggestions? I was looking at the PDP 800 or 900 series, the Gibraltar 5600 series, Pearl 800 series or the Tama Roadpro. My main concern is the bass pedal and stands being sturdy enough for the mounted tom.

I have the Gibraltar 5600 series and have been using it for three years, on a job almost every weekend. Still like new and not extremely heavy to carry. There are others that are as good but I doubt any better for the price.

I highly suggest that you make sure your tom mounts are compatible with any hardware you are looking to purchase.

I don't know the specifics but there are basically two sizes of hardware brackets that work with tom arms.

DW and Gibralter have larger (heavier duty) hardware than most.
