Is there a different way to mount a snare drum to your set? Maybe a gibralter type attachment that would rid me of the horrible snare drum stand I currently use? I need something without legs so it won't interfere with my double pedels, and such. Something that runs off of a cymbal stand.

i worked out a floating snare on my kit, i don't think that you will loose a bad sound, but just took a boom symbol stand and attached it to the clam part of the snare stand and le voi la! floating snare!
