I'm running last year's model of Roland acoustic triggers on an accoustic kit with Hart Dynamics mesh heads.

The heads are all tuned at medium tension and I've tweaked the TD-6 so that the threshold is low and the sensitivity is slightly higher.

Sometimes it still doesn't pick up soft notes or buzz rolls and I'd like to know ...

what do some of you out there believe to be the "perfect" settings in the head tuning and brain for Roland acoustic triggers?

I'd really like to play jazz, fusion and rock all on the same settings, if possible.

well this is my process that i picked up from a friend who has to practice with the very same pads due to noise constraints

he is in great band

woozyfly.
com/?c=888

anyway he says for the snare drum:

tune it how you want them to feel

then set the threshold first dont worry about the sensitivity

make it so that its making the sound "when" you want - not how you want

and then use the sensitivity to make the volume sound the way you want

he uses this setting i think

8 sens
3 or 2 threshold
then a linear curve on the envelope
