Hey everyone i need some help deciding which snare drum i should buy. I've got about £300 ($590) to spend so i want one that will last. I play rock/heavy metal so i want something loud lol. I'm pretty sure that all you guys in the US are pretty lucky because everything i've seen on musicians friend is a lot cheaper than i can get it in the UK. So any suggestions would be very appreciated. Thanks, Luke _________________ "My Homer is not a communist. He may be a liar, a pig, an idiot, a communist, but he is not a porn star." |

Regarding the poll options I can't really say that either is truly better. However, I am a fan of the Pearl freefloating snares. While it might not exactly the the cheapest the upgrading potential is huge. _________________ So with that title, do I Godwin every thread now?

Yes. Please don't do multiple posts of the same thing. |

I recently purchased a Ludwig Bronze snare (5 1-2 in. by 14in.) at Guitar Center and really love it. Has great crack and wonderful snare response.
Also a great looking snare.
I believe it will cut through the music for you. |
