I have an original George Way kit.

I've been thinking about buying a NEW George Way kit, but the gentleman who owns it never emailed me back on whether he was going to reproduce the Aristocrat (which is what I'm hoping).

I am the "gentleman" who owns the George Way Drum company. For whatever reason I didn't get your email, but I'll answer you here.

I am not at liberty to use the turret lugs. That is the exclusive domain of DW drums - they have a trademark on that lug (as they should!).

So, I will be re-issuing the Aristocrat late in 2009, it just depends on DW's willingness to go along. If that doesn't happen then I will use George Way's original turret lug design which is substantially different from DW's but has the same feel.

I have plans to initially offer small Way kits using the Tuxedo lugs. These will look much like the Catalina kits.
