Hi, Im Rory.
Im a young drummer, who got into drums by my uncle pete, who passed several years ago. He played drums in the english band 'Echo & The Bunnymen'. They were quite big in the early 80's.
He passed me on a ludwig snare which he claimed to be Ringo Starrs. He met him several times and this was supposedly how he got it.

Now, this drum looks exxxaaaaccttlllyyy like every pictire of ringo's snare.
The greyish marble effect etc. (Black Oyster)

There is a serial number, on a gold/bronze badge. 24849.

I dont know what this means.
Ive tried contacting ludwig, i cant find a number..
i want to know if it really is ringo's/
i know that if it is, which i believe so, then it is probably going to be pretty valuable.

any help would be great.

CHEERS!

That snare is very nice and call the 'Jazz Festival', it's certainly worth a lot of money especially in that finish, I'm looking for one in gold sparkle for my 61' Super Classic.
