I am in my late 40's and have been a drummer for over 40 years and still doing at least 2 gigs a week
I am currently experiencing a some stiffness in my wrists (bound to happen).
My current hi hats are a set of vintage 15 zildjan a's which have always been less responsive than most but I love the sound.
Before I start my search can anyone recommend some that have good stick response. |

The most responsive hats i've EVER come across are the Paiste 13" Signature Sound Edge hats. Very sharp, cutting articulate hats. Unfortunately very expensive  very very good hats though. If you want to hear them, just listen to most Tool songs.

| zildjian A Mastersound is what all the Zildjian guys are using now of days. pretty cheap compared to some but i think had the best sound overall than any other |

Smaller cymbals tend to be more responsive. In ANY case, try looking at 13" hats. Either a straight "A" New beat. I use 13" A custom projection hats, and they do EVERYTHING I want them to do and are extremely response.
