Well with my AAX cymbals which are 18" xplosion crash n 14"stage hats, I've found that my Zildjian 22" Z custom ride sounds awesome with them.

Maybe look into getting a z custom ride...thats my opinion Smile

best thing will be to just try out some rides and see how they will work with what your wanting.

try out the z custom and see if thats what you want.
me, i have a 14 proto, 15 dark, 16 aaxplosion all very cutting edge sound that can break through anything in your mix.
my suggestion is a
melni MB10 or bell blast ride, very explosive, good ping to it for any jazz needed, cutts through in the mix and is noticeable and the 6 inch bell is very cool
also its pretty cheap compared to alot of rides now of days
music123, samash are two i know have them, i got mine from music 123

What's your budget? I'd look at the Paiste Signature Full Ride. I love the sound of that ride. Not sure how it will fit with the rest of your cymbals, but if I remember correctly the aaxplosion's are very cutting and loud, so again I'm not sure how the full ride will fit with the aaxplosions, but the Paiste signature dry heavy ride would probably fit right in with the aaxplosions. If you listen to Tool at all, that's the ride Danny Carey uses. I'd stay clear of the Z customs, unless your looking for pretty much just loud cymbals. To me the Z customs aren't very musical. I'd probably also check out the Zildjian A ping, rock, or medium (the 22in one) rides. I've got the rock ride and it's loud and cutting but still musical. Check out the Sabian aax metal ride and the new Sabian APX rides and the HH raw bell dry ride would probably be great with the aaxplosion cymbals. That's what I'd look at.
