Mesh Skins

I used to play acoustic drums and am now switching to electric, and I was just wondering has anyone used mesh skins, and do they feel like normal drum skins?

Basically I'm asking is it worth paying more for mesh over rubber pads?

I have mesh head. I wouldn't go as far to say that they feel like regular heads but def. a lot more realistic feel then the rubber heads. I personally think it's worth the $

Definitely worth the money...and you can also adjust the tension of the mesh heads with a drum key. I have just as much fun on my electronic kit as I do on my regular kit.

i had a kit borrowed form my friend....i ripped the mesh and smashed the trigger....... Smile

Ok, I just got my ALesis DM5 Pro, does tightening the heads affect the sound?. Because I don't want to go screwing around with them and messing up the sound, but I prefer them looser than how they came.
