| Just looking for some opinions on what the best electronic drum kits/modules are out there today. I'm in the market for a new kit and looking for those who have experience with current models. So far my picks are the Roland TD-10/8, and Yamaha DTX2U/DTXtreme. One feature that I consider very important is a multi-track sequncer. The more tracks the better. Two won't hardly cut it. Anyone with any picks or pans please respond. Thanks. |

| I pretty much test them all. What is best for you will depend on your context, personal preferences and budget. Decide whether you want rubber pads, mylar drum head pads, mesh pads or to trigger acoustic drums, then list the features you want in a module in order of importance. If you can play the various types of pads to decide that part that is best. Comparing modules in person is best too of course. But once you have a general idea what you want, post what you want to use them for, and I can give some suggestions. |

Hi, I am a drummer who wants a electronic kit to practice on only. I have an accoustic kit for live gigs. After being self taught for teh last 10 years I want to get lessons and improve technique.
I would like some advice on which would be the best kit in terms of quality , value for money and feel. I am considering buying a roland TD-3/6/8 or yamaha DTXII or yamaha DTXTREME. I am most after a kit that will offer the best feel and sound pound for pound. I don;t mind paying a little bit more for the kit as long as it's worth the extra money. |

the best electronic kit is coming out this month, by Roland.
The Module is the TD-20, and, the kit is the V-PRO. Its the TOP-O-THE-LINE stuff. The hi-hat is actually 2 discs that go on an actual hi-hat stand!!!
