I love the fact that black cymbals are easily available now, but I don't really care for the type of cymbal.

I've been searching for a while now, I had seen a limited run, a long time ago, of the Paiste Rude line, in black!!! That would be ideal....for me anyway.

Might I axe (ask) why you don't like them...just curious?

A full setup was just put on one of the demo kits at my local guitar center. I tried them out, and... eh. Nothing special. They just look cool. After seeing the Travis Barker video, I thought they sounded pretty good, but hey, that's just studio magic.

I bought the 20 inch crash/ride. I personally love it. Great Crash sound, decent ride sound and looks freaking awesome.

The crashes I tried out I wasn't impressed by but the hi-hats blew me away with such a crisp bright sound.

in some of the pics i've seen of the hihats, it looks like either the inside of the cymbals aren't colored black, or the bottom cymbal is completely uncolored. could have been a figment of my imagination, but it reminded me of the K/Z Dyno Beat hats, which actually sound great.

the high hats insides arent colored, because it would chip off or something but the tops and bottoms of everything else are black

I think they're ugly, cheesy, haven't seen how much they cost yet but i'm guessing it'll be about £100 more than the equivalent non-black version (ZHT's).
Plus i wouldn't buy them coz i'd be scared that the coating would come off. I'd rather have titaniums than these, at least they look pretty cool Smile

And i don't like that logo Laughing

I agree that the label is fugly. It's gaudy as hell. But I like the black concept. I'd have to try one to make a real judgement. Throw in a splash or a crash into a setup for a bit of variety. The crash/ride might be good for me because I don't have one and am thinking about adding another 18" crash to my setup.
