i have been using a cheap stagg 12 "mini china which sounds great.
I am on my second one (lasted about 18 months constant gigging) and I mount it on a spring cymbal mount that reduces the shock.

I own Staggs and they are cheap and sound great, I have them in 10", both the SH and DH models sound superb and while you are on it, try getting their splashes too, you can even choose from several models, I prefer the Myras which are bright, the Furias are a bit dark and the SH and DH models are just really splashy!
