| hey guys...i was wondering if i should get a double pedal instead of having 2 bass. its takes alot of space and my hi-hat is really far with the 2 bass. so i thought i could buy a doubal pedal using one bass... but i dont know if its better to use a double pedal? so my question is 2 basses or double pedal?? thanks |

Well, it looks cool when you're behind 2 bass drums, but you save money and space just using some DWs or Tayes. Whatever floats your boat. _________________ Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter. |

Please don't double post the same topic in two areas. I know you want an answer, but it seperates all the good comments.
Thanks. _________________ Post No Evil |

if you just want some versatility in your drum technique with some pretty good double bass beating here and there........go with a nice DW pedal and one bassdrum. If you want to go blindingly fast........buy 2 Axis single pedals, and get an extra bassdrum.
the faster you go on one bassdrum, the lesser response you get. to minimalize the decrease of air in one bassdrum due to you hitting it twice as fast.....use two bassdrums....both with portholes on the resonant head to let air out and give you even faster response.
when you hit.....air is forced out....and air fills it back up again. so logically......if you have 2 bassdrums....each of them only has to do half the work necessary for great bounce on every stroke. |
