From the pictures I would say get the pulse, it has double chain and double steel foot plates and looks better made.

From company reputation I woud say get the pacific, Pacific makes better drums than pulse.

From what I have seen Id advise against the pacifc, I saw one in a store and it looked very cheaply made.

From what I have heard the pacific pedals are junk, somone said the pulse was beter.

I would have to recomend the pulse, However I would look into spending an extra 60 bucks to get a dw 4002 its bound to be better than the pulse or pacific.

i had to borrow a set of the Pacific pedals once for a show becuase i left mine behind. They were horrible, but i'm used to play with DW9002, so those were a big step down. judging by the pictures, i would def go for the pulse pedals. I'm assuming you're learning right now, or just starting out on double kick so the double chained Pulse pedals will def last a lot longer.

I like the Pacific 402 im playing now... i got it for free. I like it ALOT better then the Iron Cobra I was borrowing...

Pacific is DW anyways, just a lower priced offset of them... the pedal is of great quality, but the pedal I aquiured had a broken sivel joint on the part that attatches the slave to the master pedal.. Pacific has that accual part, but I got a guy to weld it and it looks stellar, and seems just as solid as the old rivet that was in it.

I would take the Pacific, thats only because thats what I have experence.

As for the guy that was using the 9002... those pedals are drumgods gift to a dummer, but their price is just insaine, get what you pay for.. I LOVED the 7000 single pledal I borrowed, it was probably the single best pedal I had played on in YEARS, next to the 9000 double pedal my hs teacher had.
