Looking good. I think it's quite funny though; Yamaha has always offered the Absolute series as their top line, but now there is a "Definitive" line as well? Is the Absolute line down-graded or is the Definitive line an even higher line than Absolute? What will the next planned line from Yamaha be - "Yamaha Undoubted"? "Yamaha Pro Exaggerated"? "Yamaha Unmeasurable"? "Yamaha Final"?
And if so, what will the even next line be called? Hm. I sense a paradoxal moment 22 here... Yamaha really needs to replan their level hierarchical strategy. _________________ My Premier Artist Maple set! |

| You could say the same thing about DW and there 9000 and 5000 series, but no one doubts how good the 5000 is hunh? You doubt Yamaha could make better drums!? It does seem impossible, but if anyone could improve drums, it's Yamaha. The new line may not necessarily be better, but different. Maybe it's exactly the same as the Absolutes, but with a wrap or some other minor change. |
