Well, I just finished off playing for the evening, but I noticed while playing that my kick seemed a little flat. I noticed that a tension rod on the kick had come out, but upon further inspecition, I saw that the threaded receptor for the rod had come out of the lug itself.

Now, is it possible to glue the receptor back in and hope it all goes well, or do I need to get a whole new lug? If the latter is the case, where can I find a pearl style lug so that the holes are in the right place and it at least looks consistent.

Could you post a pic, it would make it easier to determine if something is totally broke or can be salvaged.

FWIW my kit came with extras of those little threaded things that go insde the lugs so they are apparently replacable, I suppose if your actual lug isnt mangled you could just go buy some of those insert things at guitar center or possibly a local store adn that should fix it, if not their are a number of company's that sell lugs, chances are they have some that will match yours.

Heres a few companys that sell replacement lugs and other parts.

Normally, the lug house is just a shell that holds the threaded receptor in place, and it shoud be easy to fix if it comes loose. However, there must be a reason the receptor dropped from the lug house and I'd guess that the screws on the inside of the shell, that keeps the lug house secured to the shell, may have loosened up in Your case, causing the lug house to "glitch" and dropping the receptor.

Unmount the lug house completely and start from there, check for damages on the lug and the receptor. If it's undamaged then just mount it on there again, securing all screws tightly. You may have to unmount another lug to see exactly how it's supposed to fit.

If it's damaged though then post pictures if You have some, just as jak said, and we'll make a diagnosis.

Oddly enough Jonesie, this is on a Pearl kick.

Anyhoo, here're the pictures:

A good lug with t-rod in it:

looks like all thats messed up is the receptor, the receptor is like a cylinder with 4 corners on one end, it looks like the 4 corners that hold it inside the lug must have broke off or worn off or something.

No problem to fix, just go to guitar center and take your T-rod in and tell them you need a receptor to fit it, then once you get it take the lug off and it should look pretty self explanatory how to put it back in.
