Billy Cobham Signature Snare

im looking for a darker snare. i was wondering if anybody has played the billy cobham and could tell if it gives of a dark fat sound?

very very dark tone, very responsive, great for jazz setting. I found the crack to be pretty great as well, not the best, but it gives a incredible pop. I personally wouldnt dish 500$ for it but a buddy of mine found one at a pawn shop for 300$, well worth it in that case. Tuning will make a huge difference in the tone as well.
