Hey guys. Do you think this thing is homemade? It looks like a replacement cable was put in the middle of a regular stand, and the hole on the bottom part looks kinda rough. Did DW ever make this? I'm not buying this guy's description either especially with the name pawnmart. I'm not bidding on it, but just curious.

| Nope dw does make them hi hats, although i think the cable usually comes out the top of the stand instead the side, yet it is a older version to as he says, but he could of did some mods to it. |

No, this is a retrofitted standard hi-hat stand. DW only made one remote cable hat model for the 5000 series, and I own one. It looks just like this...

I don't think DW has ever made a remote pedal with three legs, let alone one with a hole (exposed so that moisture can slip inside and ruin?!?!) drilled out of the side of a three legged standard hi-hat base. Nah, pawnbroker picked this off some inventive drummer who made the best out of what he had.

yeh that's definitely home made i wldn't buy that if my life depended on it!if u are looking for a remote hi hat stand then i wld go for the tama HH95CH but it's 300 dollars US
