|
|
Hey,
I've decided to buy myself an iron cobra double pedal. The problem is that I live in Sweden, and the cheapest one you can get here seems to cost 4000 SEK (about $500). I've noticed that on most american websites they cost $269, but shipping from there is like $70 (when I used this calcultator they had) and I guess that you'll have to pay some kind of tax aswell (anyone who knows how much that'll be?).
It seems odd to me that american sites charge half of what swedish stores or european websites do - there must be somewhere where you can get a pedal like this for about half the swedish price without paying loads in shipping and taxes?
I'd be extremely grateful if someone could tell me the cheapest way of getting an iron cobra double pedal when you live in sweden, unfortunately $500 is a little too much for me to spend... |

Actually, the price is about the same but the swedish 25% moms tax adds too much to the price tag... Also, marketing competition in the states is much tougher than in Europe. There are a LOT more stores, both physical stores as well as online stores, so they need to push the prices to collect orders. In Sweden You're pretty much left out to the hands of Crafton and their resellers (Musikborsen etc) and they follow the Craftons price list down to it's last comma. There might be short discount campaigns but most often it doesn't even make up for half the shipping costs.
My advice is - go second hand. Browse http://www.vendolin.se , I bought my Iron Cobra twin pedal from a guy in there and it's super.

Just kiddin', sorry for going off topic. On topic: I forgot to tell Gurra about the german online stores. Check out www.thomann.de and www.musik-produktiv.de , I'll bet You'll find them even cheaper than the US sites considering the Euro being so low and all. I've ordered stuff from there myself and they're most reliable. There's is an extra shipping cost but if You get some buddies over for a mass order You can split it and get away really cheap.
