That is a question only you can answer. And it depends on many variables (not just how long you've been playing): What kit do you have now? Do you make a living as a drummer? How much are you willing to spend? What kit features are important to you? Do you already have good hardware? What sound are you looking for? Etc. _________________ "If I didn't make a living beating things with a stick, I'd probably be in a lot of trouble!" - Alex Van Halen |

| I've been playing drums for about 5 or 6 years, I'm in a hard rock band. I'm looking for a good drumset, but I don't have all that much money. I need something good looking yet durable and is overall good? |

Rockstars look good (esspecially the Customs and EFXs), sound good and are solid as a rock, so that may the way to go. But Exports, Stage Customs, Pro Ms, etc. are all about equal, IMO. You might also look into Pacific's CX, LX, MX and FS kits - they're solid maple or birch instead of mixed woods like Rockstars et al. I would also consider a used pro level kit in good condition - it should cost you about the same as a new Rockstar, but be of higher quality. _________________ "If I didn't make a living beating things with a stick, I'd probably be in a lot of trouble!" - Alex Van Halen |
