hey, here's my situation: my parents are separated, and i have only one drumset, an acoustic. I would like to get an electronic set for my other house, but price is a very big issue. I'd like a 5 piece set that at least has some good sounds on it, and pads that are at least adequate. i wanted to know if this set; http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/sid=040712162554152163253001797607/g=home/search/detail/base_pid/448714/ was good enough for the price, and if not, what do you think is better within the same price range (1000 and down). thanks.

I bought the hart pad set through ebay brand new a few months back, and in the price range I don't think you could beat it! It's kick *Horse's Patoot* and you can even do double bass with it. Took me a while to get me cross talk and stuff set right but that's it! It's a blast!

I would suggest looking on ebay because I got my set for like $404.00 and then 38 clams shipping. I did this because I liked the idea of getting a roland td-6 module instead of the alesis dm-5. So check ebay my friend! And good luck!
