I know they're not "new" but they're fairly new to me. I think they're great. A little lighter and thinner than a 5A, but a similar length. I even choke up on em a little. If you choke up, it's almost like playing a Regal 7A except without that dumb gloss finish, without the bad matching and warping, and with increased durability lol
I'm all over the place with sticks right now. I'm currently vascilating between 85As, AJ1s, Peter Erskine Ride Sticks (which are similar to AJ1s), and Buddy Rich sigs. I also love Regal 7As if I want to blaze. _________________ Proud Premier Player!! |

| I haven't tried those, but I have tried the VF American Sound 8Ds, which are the same diameter as 7As, but they are a full 16" long, like the 5As (the 7As are 15.5"). They have a small, round, wooden tip that has a great sound on cymbals. You might want to give them a try if you like thinner sticks that aren't short. |

I'm going to ever so strongly agree with Bytor. I've been playing on VF 8Ds for a while (the normal american classic ones) and once I gave the american sound series a shot, I haven't touched any of the other sticks in my bag. _________________ So with that title, do I Godwin every thread now?
