anyone here ever use any of Aquarian's graphite sticks? they have a one piece neck and tip that screw onto the handle, which features shock absorbing grip. ive really never seen em in stores before, and they dont seem to be as popular as Ahead sticks, even though they seem like they would be more convenient because you dont have to get out the blowdrier to put a new cover on or put the sticks in the oven to get the tips off. musiciansfriend a has em for $11.99. im intrigued. _________________

I just bought a pair of the 5A lites today. Haven't really played the kit with them yet, but they seemed to have just as much bounce as wooden sticks when I was playing on a picnic table. Made from graphite, so hopefully they'll last me a couple of months. _________________ www.myspace.com/thetrombones |
