I just got my first pair of Truelines. They look (and feel) pretty strange, but that knob is already helping a lot with my Moeller practice. I play traditional grip primarilly, and that knob keeps the left stick from riding up.

What kind of wood are those? How are they holding up? They look interesting. Do they have a nice feel?

They are made of hickory. I bought the Billy Ward signature model, because I have been trying to use some smaller sticks after years of 5B's, and I just can't seem to hold onto them. The Trueline's filled the bill. I spent about 4 hours jamming with these Saturday, and didn't lose them once, and no hand cramps. I was able to stay loose and enjoy myself.

I'd like to give some a try sometime, but I've never seen them in any store. Granted, I haven't gone into a store specifically looking for them, but I still haven't seen any. I might buy a pair from Musician's Friend. The Billy Ward model does look nice. I like the barrel tips.
