It's an FS birch, and in short I absolutely love the sound. In long, I wish either the toms were a bit louder or my snare quieter, and also that the kick were a little clearer. As for everything else, it is perfect for me, and I don't plan on changing until I get my Sonors.

so let me get this straight. You love everything about it apart from the toms , the snare and the bass and you're never gonna replace it until you do replace it. Wink

Right, I love everything about my dog, but wish he'd come when I call. That sort of a thing.

See New Pic

Someday, I will get a better, updated picture. As of right now, this is what I've got. This is my Pacific Chameleon. I love it. It has great tone for such small drums, and it packs easily and fits in small spaces. I wouldn't mind a bit more depth to the bass, but for what it is, it's one of the best sounding kits I've played. It records PERFECTLY. My only other wish is that I could get a 16" low tom to add to it, but since they're discontinuing the model, I doubt I'll be able to get that.

The topic for this thread sounds like you are trying to tell us about PDP and why we should buy them.....
or is it just me...

i think he might be considering buying a PDP, and wants to hear what people think of them. if im not mistaken SLIPdrummerKNOT currently owns a First Act kit, and probably isnt trying to give an advertisement for PDP.

Dude, that lovely farm of K Customs must have cost 2x as much as the drums themselves!

What sizes are they? I absolutely love my 17" K Custom Dark Crash and will cry if anything happens to it (or more realistically, just go buy 2 more of them)

Heh, actually now that I add it all up, that's about right on the cost. As for sizes, the hats are 14" Ks, the crashes are 16" and 17" K custom fast crashes, and the ride is a 20" K. The splash is a Z custom (which I'd replace if it weren't already a nice interval from the 16"), and the china is an 18" wuhan.

yeah kinda ironic to have a crappy loud trash lid sounding Z splash, and all them beautiful K custom fast crashes on the same kit.

Yeah, it's first on my list to replace, but I just can't justify it yet. I sounds good enough, but just loud.
