I have the best answer:
There is NO SUCH THING!!!
Repeat: NO SUCH THING!!!

The best drums are the drums which you feel best fit the sound you want. I personally don't like the sound of Orange County Percussion snares, and yet there are TONS of drummers who will wet the ground around them with drool upon being shown a picture of one. I also don't like Pearl, but Louderdb loves em. I have good opinions of DW and yet there are others who can't stand the drums. It's all preference!

Many different companies make different good stuff. I mean, I've played a Rogers set and it absolutely ruled. I've played another set from the same company and it sounded TERRIBLE. I wouldn't stick to just one brand just to make the names match. If a piece of percussion from LP and Toca sound good, bring them in! If a Yamaha snare sounds good in a Premier set, go for it! Whatever sounds good and lasts!

I'd say Pearl. I've played Tamas, Ludwigs, Pearls, CBs, and a few other sets that Im not sure who made.

I like Pearl's sound, especially the Travel Series (*Holy Censor, Batman* I gotta get me one of thoose) and the export.

Might want to go and post a new topic entitled "favorite drummer(s) (new thread)". I think there was a favorite drummer thread, but it's a lil long now, so why not start a new one?

My favorite drums have to be DW. They sound as good as the best stuff from any drum company, but they LOOK INCREDIBLE. That to me is the distinguishing factor. I have a set of birch Tama Starclassics, and they are beautiful, great sounding drums, but DW's (which sound similar in birch) blow mine away visually. There's my two and a half cents. I will say that Tama is coming closer with some of its new finishes, and I am very intrigued.

Ok Mr Seagull, yes we get the point. Luka percussion is nice, we believe you, you told us several times. Now, could you please stop advertising them?
