awsome crash, got it today lot like the hhx evolution but more...metal:). i had no clue what size trying to get a 15 in general or what kind of crash but i had $280 to use and went into my local gc and just went down the rows of the crashes in the quiet room and found even the a customs actually were tightened to far down or something because they didnt sound good to the aax series(not saying its better but today they sounded) it came down to the 14' aaxplosion and a 16' dark crash and thought the 14' was to subtle and went up to front and said i was the dark crash then he says he has a 16' aaxplosion up there and compared the two and got the xplosion.
good crash and just sounds very amazing and fits well with my mb10 new melni ride

Nice. I'm thinking of getting it soon too, when I have the money. So do you thinkm it works well as a primary crash? I just want to replace my horrible Sabian Solar one.

its a very good primary crash, i can use it when i need to for a lil accent with a quick hit but if i need to crash on it(like some songs do on the chorus) it works very well. its a fairly bright cymbal and can do great creshendos with it which is nice
what size are you looking to get though because anything lower than a 15 may not be very crashable
side not i actually went down to bentleys drum shop and got a 15' used sabian dark crash today for $74.00 Smile so i now have both that i was looking for
and i have gotten 3 cymbals in 3 days
Smile
hope i helped

Congrats man!! I have heard only good things about the AAXplosion line, and I think if I buy a new crash anytime soon, they will be a definite candidate.

I too have gotten 2 new cymbals in he span of a week, and I think I will be getting a third one very soon. Right before xmas I picked up a 12" Wuhan S splash, then on xmas day I got a Zildjian A custom 10" splash. Tomorrow, i am headin to the store and I am gonna pick up a 14" Wuhan China.

Now I just have to get some boom arms and multi-clamps to set em all up.

I think it is safe to say I am a full blown cymbal-holic. AND I LOVE IT!!

Oh I'd love to be a cymbalholic, but there's no way I'd be able to afford it Very Happy
I got two cymbals for Christmas, Sabian XS20 rock ride and XS20 stage hats.

As for what sizes I was looking for 16" like what you got. I'm definitely getting it now, thanks!
